Hope in people with aphasia: a longitudinal qualitative study

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Hope has been shown to be important for life after stroke1 . People with aphasia have reported that having a sense of hope is essential for the post-acute recovery period2 . This study aimed to explore hope at two timepoints in recovery: the post-acute period (3-6 months post stroke) and the chronic period (~18 months poststroke).
